Free COVID-19 Vaccination for kids 5+ at Boston Playground

Next week during Spring Vacation, there will be free COVID-19 vaccination clinics at Boston Playground. From 4:00-8:00 on April 20-22 (Wednesday-Friday), pediatric vaccines and boosters will be available for Chelsea residents. No appointment is necessary, and health insurance is not required to receive the vaccine. Children ages 5 and older can receive the vaccine.
Any child who gets vaccinated will receive a FREE 60-minute game voucher too! Boston Playground offers so many activities for kids including archery, room escapes, a trampoline park and more!
La próxima semana, durante las vacaciones de primavera, habrá clínicas gratuitas de vacunación contra el COVID-19 en Boston Playground. De 4:00 a 8:00 pm del 20 al 22 de abril (miércoles a viernes), las vacunas pediátricas y las vacunas de refuerzos estarán disponibles para los residentes de Chelsea. No es necesaria una cita y no se requiere seguro médico para recibir la vacuna. Los niños de 5 años en adelante pueden recibir la vacuna.

Middle School College and Career Fair / Feria de Universidades y carreras

Chelsea Public Schools is proud to offer a College and Career Fair at our middle schools this May! On May 4, college representatives and career professionals will be at the Browne and Wright Middle Schools from 1:15-3:00 to speak with eighth grade students about potential future opportunities. Then on May 5, the event will shift to the Morris H. Seigal Clark Avenue Middle School where college representatives and career professionals will be available to meet with eight graders at CAMS! Families are invited too!

Chelsea District Art Show Returns this Month!

On Thursday, April 28, and Saturday, April 30, the Chelsea District Art Show returns to showcase all the amazing student-produced pieces in our district. Full details are available below. All members of the CPS community and City of Chelsea Community are welcome to attend. The event will feature display pieces as well as digital work representing student artwork and voices. We hope to see you there!

 

You’re Invited 4/19 North Suffolk Community Organization Roundtable

Who: Staff, board, or volunteer representatives of community organizations serving populations in Chelsea, Revere, or Winthrop.

What: A facilitated conversation to understand how communities may be impacted by climate change differently. Results will inform the development of an equity assessment tool that will help municipal departments and community-based organizations prioritize climate and sustainability projects that enhance equity.

City of Chelsea and the Anti-Displacement roundtable present Zoning for our Community

This series is intended to give residents a deeper understanding of how zoning has shaped the Chelsea of today, and how zoning can contribute to a more equitable Chelsea of the future.
The second session will take place on Wednesday, April 13, at the Clark Avenue School. Food, childcare, and Spanish interpretation will be provided.
$25 Visa gift cards will be available for up to 50 participants. The following two sessions in the Community Conversation Series are slated for May 4th and May 18th at the same location at the Clark Avenue School.
