Clients facing immediate need can access resources through the Project Bread Food Source Hotline at (800) 645-8333 and local food pantries. DTA offices remain open to provide other services.
State funded programs including HIP, TAFDC, and EAEDC will continue operating normally. EBT cards will continue to function in November with any carryover benefits, though no new funds will be added.

What else to know:
- Individuals are still encouraged to apply to DTA.
- DTA won’t be able to issue SNAP for applications that are filed and approved on or after November 1 until they receive funding to do so. However, applications will continue to be processed.
- Once the shutdown is resolved, delayed SNAP benefits should be reinstated retroactively.
- WIC continues to operate as usual.
- WIC families should continue to attend appointments and shop normally.
