Carolina joined Healthy Chelsea as a FoodCorps AmeriCorps Service Member in August 2022 as an educator on topics related to nutritional food, food systems, and natural sciences to the Mary C. Burke Elementary school communities. They work throughout the cafeteria, classroom, and garden spaces to involve students in outdoor spaces and educational activities about how one’s health is connected to the environment.
Carolina received a bachelor’s degree in Geosciences from Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, where their studies focused on chemical fate and transport through ecological systems and involved community farming.
