Cary Square Day of History
Please join us on Sunday, May 5th at the Cary Square Day of History event! This event is one of many this year in honor of Chelsea’s 400th Year.
Temple Emmanuel, Governor Bellingham-Cary House, Tour Leaders and Historians Lee Farrington & Marsha Johnson and the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce are all participating in the Cary Square Day of History. The schedule for the day is as below:
10am – 11am – A walking tour led by Lee Farrington and Marsha Johnson leaves from 60 Tudor Street and ends at the Governor Bellingham-Cary House.
11am – 2pm – An Open House at Governor Bellingham-Cary House, 34 Parker Street, with special remarks between 12pm – 1pm.
2pm – 6pm – Chelsea Chamber of Commerce Marketplace with Family Activities in the Temple Emmanuel Courtyard (entrance on Gardner Street at Cary Ave)
2pm – 6pm – Open House at Temple Emmanuel 60
Opening remarks and Grand Opening of the Jewish Chelsea Museum! 2:30pm
Storytelling: Life in Jewish Chelsea 3:30 – 4:15 pm
Clips from the film “Chelsea, The Jewish Years” 4:30 – 4:45 pm
