Health Tips: Mosquitoes and ticks can make you sick
| In these dog days of summer, it can be the little things—ticks and mosquitoes—that cause big health problems for your patients. Both are expanding to new territories with longer seasonal activity, and both can carry more than one disease.
Outdoor activities can also increase contact with larger members of the animal world, so you’ll find information on animal bites and rabies, as well. Please share handouts with your patients to encourage prevention and early intervention behavior. They can be included in After Visit Summaries and in Patient Gateway messages (also available in Spanish). Guidelines Patient handouts

On June 16th, eight teams competed in a 3×3 FIBA-sponsored tournament at the Play Braamfontein blacktop to crown South Africa’s top youth streetball talent. Attendees received PUMA sneakers and kits, enjoyed complimentary meals, free giveaways, and entertainment from top musical talents like Usimamane and The Qwellers.
On July 13th, The Let It Fly Classic was spectacular at The Regal in London. Eight teams competed fiercely to determine London’s top youth streetball talent showcasing high-level basketball and sportsmanship. Attendees enjoyed complimentary lunch and free giveaways, which created an unforgettable atmosphere.
This Ninth Annual Let It Fly Classic will be taking place at the following:

Dear Chelsea Community!
You are cordially invited to attend CineFest Latino Boston’s inaugural Community Screening, which kicks off its annual festival from September 25 to 29. This event is also part of the festivities celebrating Chelsea’s 400th anniversary. We are thrilled to offer this screening free of charge, made possible by a generous grant from the Chelsea Heritage Foundation and the Barr Foundation.
CineFest Latino Boston™ is an annual film festival conducted in Boston, highlighting stories by and about Latinos. The festival is committed to using the power of film to break stereotypes, bring cultures and communities together and reveal the complex issues affecting the Latinx community in the United States, as well as communities in Latin America and Spain. This evening’s program features a special screening of RAISING THE FLOOR, a poignant narrative about Chelsea’s community – your community – uniting to feed neighbors and strangers during an unprecedented public health crisis. It tells the inspiring story of local leaders and community members whose sense of helplessness and concern for Chelsea residents spurred bold policy innovations.
The screenings will be followed by a community talkback, featuring a facilitated organic conversation. All films are subtitled, and translations will be available at the event.
