Exciting news—LCC Grant applications open TOMORROW, September 1st! If you’ve got a project in mind, whether it’s a small idea or something bigger, this is your chance to get some funding.
- Funding: Request $250 to $5,000 (or even more if you’ve got a big project!)
- Who Can Apply: Massachusetts-based individuals, artists, non-profit community groups, cultural institutions, public agencies, and schools with a particular activity related to the arts, humanities, or sciences and has public benefit. Applicants do not have to reside in Chelsea, but the activity must take place in Chelsea or be directly intended for Chelsea residents.
- Deadline: Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 11:59 PM (EST)

Health Tips: Mosquitoes and ticks can make you sick
| In these dog days of summer, it can be the little things—ticks and mosquitoes—that cause big health problems for your patients. Both are expanding to new territories with longer seasonal activity, and both can carry more than one disease.
Outdoor activities can also increase contact with larger members of the animal world, so you’ll find information on animal bites and rabies, as well. Please share handouts with your patients to encourage prevention and early intervention behavior. They can be included in After Visit Summaries and in Patient Gateway messages (also available in Spanish). Guidelines Patient handouts
