Greetings,

CBC will be hosting our annual community celebration honoring Black History Month as one.
We are planning to host a most enjoyable evening with a dynamic keynote speaker, local youth
performance and participation in educational activity tables, artist will showcase their talents,
along with an inspiring display of cultural artifacts. Also, dinner will be provided to all at this
free public event. We hope you will join us!

During this community celebration, we will pay tribute to community members recognized as
2023 BHM “Chelsea Trailblazers.” These individuals have opened paths for others to follow
and continue to contribute to the betterment of our community. The event will be held on
Monday, February 27, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 PM, at Williams Middle School, 180 Walnut St,
Chelsea, MA.

We are requesting your support by purchasing a Congratulatory Ad in the Black History Month
Booklet. Your donation will assist in the success of the community celebration as well as
business recognition and the opportunity to congratulate BHM 2023 “Chelsea Trailblazers.”
Chelsea Black Community is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible.
Black History Month is truly time to reflect on how we, as a nation and community, come
together in order overcome injustice. It is also a time to honor diversity as we connect as a
community with one strong voice. We hope you can join us for this celebratory event, promoting
diversity, education, and cultural awareness in Chelsea. If you have any questions please call

Chelsea Public Schools Middle School Acceleration Academy

Chelsea middle schools will again be hosting another Acceleration Academy during February vacation, with the focus on ELA. Our teams will be building enriching product-based learning opportunities which will be designed to get the most out of our students, while having fun and enjoying their learning experience. February’s Acceleration Academy will take place at the Clark. The schedule will run all 5 days of the week, Monday February 20th – Friday February 24th. The daily schedule will be 8:30 – 2:30, with breakfast and lunch provided. We will have small classes of ten students, individualized instruction, hands-on learning experiences, and gift cards for perfect attendance!

Las escuelas intermedias de Chelsea volverán a organizar otra Acceleration Academy durante las vacaciones de febrero, con el enfoque en Lengua y Literatura en inglés (ELA). Nuestros equipos crearán oportunidades de aprendizaje enriquecedoras basadas en productos que se diseñarán para aprovechar al máximo a nuestros estudiantes, mientras se divierten y disfrutan de su experiencia de aprendizaje. La Acceleration Academy de febrero se llevará a cabo en el Clark. El horario se ejecutará los 5 días de la semana, del lunes 20 de febrero al viernes 24 de febrero. El horario diario será de 8:30 a 2:30, con desayuno y almuerzo incluido. Tendremos clases pequeñas de diez estudiantes, instrucción individualizada, experiencias prácticas de aprendizaje y tarjetas de regalo para una asistencia perfecta!
