Voter Registration and Early Voting Information for Preliminary Election

Last Day to Register to Vote
The last day to register to vote or change your address for the preliminary election is Saturday, September 16, from 9:00am-5:00pm at the City Clerk’s Office at Chelsea City Hall (500 Broadway).The preliminary election will be on Tuesday, September 26.

To register to vote online, visit www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/.

In-Person Early Voting (District 4 and District 7 Preliminary Election)
In-person early voting for the preliminary election begins on Saturday, September 16 and ends on Friday, September 22. Residents can come to the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall to vote at the following times:

  • Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Monday (Sept. 18), Wednesday (Sept. 20), Thursday (Sept. 21) from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday (Sept. 19) from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Friday (Sept. 22) from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Please note, however, once a voter has cast an early voting ballot, the voter may no longer vote at the polls on Election Day.

Votación Temprana En Persona (Elección Preliminar de Distrito 4 y Distrito 7)
Votación temprana en persona para la elección preliminar de Distrito 4 y Distrito 7 comienza el sábado 16 de septiembre y termina el viernes 22 de septiembre. Los residentes pueden ir a la oficina administración municipal para votar en los siguentes horarios:

  • Sábado 16 de septiembre de 2023 de 9 a.m. a 5 p.m.
  • Lunes (18 de septiembre), Miércoles (20 de septiembre), Jueves (21 de septiembre) de 8 a.m. a 4 p.m.
  • Martes (19 de septiembre) de 8 a.m. a 7 p.m.
  • Viernes (22 de septiembre) de 8 a.m. a 12 p.m.

Chelsea High School Car Wash / Lavada de autos

The Chelsea High School Class of 2024 and the CHS National Honor Society will co-host a car wash this Saturday to fundraise for events like prom and more.
Come to CHS this Saturday anytime from 9:00-1:00 to get your car clean and support our amazing high school students! Pictured below are members of our Class of 2024 at their Senior Sunrise, an annual get together that our seniors have at the start of the school year.

Master Urban Gardener Application Open!

The Master Urban Gardener class is open for applications!  Apply by October 1st for an opportunity to learn from experts about all aspects of gardening in an urban environment. This is a great opportunity whether you are a new or an experienced gardener to deepen your knowledge and build relationships with other urban growers. Classes are in person in downtown Boston on Saturdays from October 21 – December 16, priced on a sliding scale based on income with full scholarships available. Details and applications HERE.
