GreenRoots Community Member Spotlight

We’re continuing our Community Member Spotlight this week by highlighting the stories of GreenRoots leaders on the front lines of climate change and organizing for climate and environmental justice.

Storytelling is sharing a reality and a piece of you with someone else. We welcome you to share your reality with us by emailing

Neris’ organizing work in Chelsea dates back to our Boston Hides & Fur victory in 2001! This victory inspired our air quality campaign and will continue until everyone has access to clean air and better health outcomes.

Samantha is an incredible 15-year-old youth leader and a sophomore at Chelsea High! She loves her community and is passionate about access to affordable housing and keeping families together in Chelsea.
