This summer, Chelsea Public Schools is offering a FREE enrichment program called Summer Acceleration Academy for students in 6th-8th grade in Chelsea middle schools. Students will embark on a journey of academic growth by working on engaging, hands-on, and most importantly FUN projects and activities. The academic content will include science, math, art and humanities. Eighth grade students who attend and complete the program will receive one credit towards graduation at Chelsea High School.

The Summer Acceleration Academy will be at the Williams School (180 Walnut Street) from July 1-25. The program will run from 8:00am-12:00pm each day. Breakfast and lunch will be served. The program will have the following four-week schedule:

Week 1: Monday – Wednesday (July 1-3; three days)
Week 2: Monday – Friday (July 8-12; five days)
Week 3: Monday – Thursday (July 15-18; four days)
Week 4: Monday – Thursday (July 22-25; four days)
