As part of the COVID-safe Cooling Strategies Grant Program funded by the Barr Foundation, the City of Chelsea is helping residents beat the summer heat by providing free air conditioning units to eligible low-income households.
There are a limited number of units. Eligible households may choose to receive a portable or window unit, plus $300 towards their utility bill.

As you may know, The MBTA is currently working on the Bus Network Redesign, a project to transform the bus experience for those who depend on it most.
